The SETCA All-Star Games will get underway Tuesday, June 14, with the Soccer game being played at Houston Methodist Field at Bronco Stadium. The girls’ game will start at 5 pm with Liberty’s Emalee Villarreal taking part. The boys’ game will begin at 7 pm with Dayton’s Jorge Sifuentes and Cleveland’s Adan Alcantata representing the West side.

The next day will see both the softball and baseball games starting at 5 pm at Barbers Hill High School. Three players from the Class 4A State Champion Liberty Lady Panthers will play in the game. They are Maci Beam, Kylie Bishop, and Reagan Williamson. Abigail Martinez from Cleveland will join them.

On the other side will be the baseball game as Liberty’s Kaden Nolan and Mason Goudeau and Tarkington’s Kevin McCarther are all playing for the West.

On Thursday, June 16, everyone will be in Winnie at East Chambers High School for the volleyball and boys and girls basketball contests. Regina Snell of the Hardin Lady Hornets will coach the West team, with one of her players joining her in Georgia Vance. Dayton’s Laila Beck and Villarreal from Liberty will join Snell’s team.

The girls’ basketball game will have Hardin’s Madison Boston, and the boys’ basketball game will have Tarkington’s Jack Sizemore coaching the West side. Braden Bostwick of the Longhorns will join him, as will Cleveland’s DeVonte Robertson.

The football game will then cap off the weeklong events at Memorial Stadium in Beaumont. Robertson and his brother Donald from Cleveland, Dayton’s James Harris, Shane Holst from Hardin, Liberty’s Austin Walker, and Dylan Scott from the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats will be on the West squad.

Good luck to all the area All-Stars representing our area, and congratulations on being selected.
