Since she was a freshman at Liberty high school, Lady Panthers recent graduate Baylee Chandler has known where she was going to play college softball. One of the captains for Head Coach Karen Slack at shortstop, Chandler will continue her playing career at Houston Baptist University.

Read moreThe United Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church of Dayton held their annual Kids to Camp Golf Classic July 18 at Tour 18 located in Humble. The money raised from the golf tournament is used to sponsor church scholarships to send kids to summer church camp, Relay For Life, sponsoring two elementary students with school supplies, fall and spring clothing, and birthday and Christmas gifts. The money is also used to support youth ministry.
