Read moreThe Liberty Panthers dropped both of their district games last week as on Tuesday night, they traveled to Hamshire-Fannett and lost a 73-40 decision to the Longhorns. Devin Fregia had a nice game with a double-double by scoring 17 points and hauling in 12 rebounds. Liberty then returned home on Friday night fell to undefeated Huffman 67-43. Grey Soileau led the Falcons with 24 points and 12 rebounds. The Panthers return to action on December 29 as they travel to Evadale for a non-district affair with the Rebels.
Read moreThe Dayton Lady Broncos improved to 2-1 in district play on Friday afternoon with a 58-31 win at Cleveland. Dayton led 11-5 after a quarter of play before the Lady Indians came back and played even in the second period as both teams scored 14-points apiece, and the Lady Broncos had a 25- 19 halftime advantage. The second half was all Dayton as they won the third quarter 15-7 and then put Cleveland away with an 18-5 advantage in the final eight minutes. Kyra Keener led the Lady Broncos in scoring with a career-high 22 points. On Tuesday night, it was Dayton falling to Lake Creek 49-27. Jerrica Keener finished with 14 points, and Allie Davis added 7. The Lady Broncos travel to Waller on December 29.
