Simple living in today’s time is not always so simple. With technology at our fingertips, at all hours of the day, no matter where we are, we are being constantly distracted by things, such as social media, emails, APPS, and so much more. We are just starting 2021, and it’s already tough. We have political arguments going on, Covid-19 running crazy across the world and so much economic hardship across our county. Liberty County woman kidnapped at gunpoint

At approximately 9:30pm Tuesday night, 32 year old Erika Rios Valdez was kidnapped from a residence at gun point by an acquaintance, identified as 38 year old Abel Fajardo. According to Liberty County Sheriff’s Lead Investigator Shandalynn Rhame, witnesses said that Valdez was in the process of parking and unhooking a food service trailer on CR 3404 in the Plum Grove area of North Liberty County when Fajardo drove up and forced Valdez into his pick-up truck at gun-point. As Fajardo fled the area, the brother of Valdez gave chase in his vehicle but eventually lost sight of Fajardo’s truck.
